VideoWiki is a non-profit, funded and backed by Wikipedia, with the goal of making Wikipedia more accessible to people with low literacy. They make encyclopedic content consumable by building wiki-based videos in local languages.
VideoWiki is currently in Beta, and Wikipedians are already using the technology to add collaboratively created videos to Wikipedia articles.
VideoWiki is looking for animators to help produce assets to assist in building accessible content for Wikipedia.
The project is looking for reusable assets to bring quantified researched data into the public domain and make it as visually appealing as possible.
This project would be good for someone who would like to contribute to the global good and will be relatively easy for an experienced animator to give a big boost to the efforts with a low level of commitment.
You would remotely join a team of developers, based in India, and Egypt.
