SuperLooper is a subscription service which operates as a lending library for maternity and baby garments. Due to its short-term nature, the clothing needs of new and expecting mothers can lead to expensive and little used clothing being sent to the landfill. SuperLooper’s reuse-recycling policy directly addresses both the waste and the expense of clothing in this life period. It is currently in the middle of its pilot project in Brighton and has requested support with the tech side of scaling up the project.
SuperLooper needs a technical consultant to outline the options for building a system to keep track of borrowing and returning of items via their marketplace. This piece of technology could take the form of a mobile app, web app or even a sophisticated excel sheet!
The project is ambitious and in a very early stage. The first job would be to research available options and present paths forwards, evaluating the pros and cons of each approach over a number of criteria and to give timelines and costs associated.
This project would be good for someone who is interested in going into freelance development, consultancy or CTO roles having to balance a number of criteria and come up with a solution that meets the client's requirements.
